Avis – Montalbert Ski

We really enjoyed our stay at L'Aubier 2. It is, as advertised, a small studio apartment with a pullout bed for a maximum of two people but there is everything you need. The kitchenette is very clean and well equipped and there is a drying rack and a warming rack to ensure your ski stuff is ready to go again the next day. As well as a secure ski locker located outside of the unit. The location is fantastic! You are only steps away from the Montalbert - La Plagne gondola as well as amenities such as a grocery store, the tourism office and multiple restaurants. Public transport access from the Aime train station is relatively straight forward as long as you travel on days when buses are available. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Tina's place for it's value!

Les Granges 22

Well located comfortable, large apartment within easy walk to main lift.
If you want to ski at La Plagne then Montalbert is a good place to stay. It is a more traditional alpine village but has shops, bars, restaurants & ski hire, it is also easy to drive to & has great car parking. One telecabine lift gets you up to the main ski area. La Plagne itself is a very 1970's resort with buildings of the period! This apartment is on the second floor served by a lift with parking right outside. All 3 bedrooms were clean & comfortable & the main kitchen/living room had everything most people would need. There is also a dual aspect balcony with nice views. The block itself is quiet & appears well run. In the evening its just a 2 minute walk to bars & restaurants. I would recommend this apartment. Just one comment, you need to book bedding & towels if you are not taking your own. Apparently the French tend to take their own whereas the Brits don't, especially if they are flying in.

Les Granges 15

Tina could not have been more helpful , before arrival and once there , arranging our ski passes ( at a discount ) and letting us have the keys to apartment early when we arrived first thing Saturday morning . The apartment was lovely , had everything you could need . Large for a ski chalet , especially the balcony . Furnished and equipped to a high standard . Enormous ski locker . Apartment is right in the village so an easy few minute walk to the lift in the morning and easily accessible to all the village facilities in the evening . My 14 and 12 year old boys felt very happy and safe to be able to go back to apartment and get changed and relax while adults enjoyed the apres ski . No where too far . The village is lovely and has everything you need . Proper community feel , not just a high rise man made resort . Snow conditions weren't great but that was not a problem , with the bubble taking you up to gain access to whole La Plagne ski area and the run ( red ) was kept open so you could still ski back to village . We were a group of 7 families ( 30 people in total ) spread over different apartments and everyone had a fantastic time . Would def recommend village and Tina and her company
